Vitamin Shots + Weight Loss

B12 | Get the vitamin and energy you will see and feel

If you are feeling more tired and run-down and cant shake the afternoon crashes, you may be low on B12. Vitamin B12 deficiencies can cause you to feel tired, fatigued, and may lead to anemia. B12 helps to:

  • Produce red blood cells

  • Plays an essential part in brain function, mental clarity, and acuity

  • Helps to produce the fatty tissue around your nerves called myelin, which protects your nerves from damage

  • Helps to produce Serotonin- one of the chemicals produced in your brain that helps you stay positive. Often referred to as a “feel good” chemical.

  • Helps to metabolize fat and protein, which gives you more energy and helps to contribute to weight loss by helping to metabolize protein and fat. When protein and fat are metabolized, it produces energy and having energy helps people lose weight.

NEW! | The Skinny Shot prescription grade weight loss

These once-weekly weight loss injections are FDA-approved to help with chronic weight management when used in combination with diet and exercise- showing real results with an average of 12-15lbs lost per month! The largest clinical trial showed that people using Semaglutide lost an average of 14.9% of their initial body weight- 12.4% more than those who didn’t use the medication.

Semaglutide was originally approved in 2017 in to help control blood sugar in type 2 diabetes under the brand name Ozempic. People taking Ozempic to help control blood sugar also tend to lose weight as an additional benefit. The injections work by suppressing the appetite- so you feel full longer, delays the emptying of the stomach, and increases the production of insulin- a hormone that lowers the blood sugar level.

If you’re looking for results that work, this is for you! You learn more below

The Science Behind It

GLP-1 is an incretin hormone that plays a role in your appetite and digestion. Incretins (hormones released by your small intestine) are sent out by your body after you’ve eaten a meal to help lower your blood sugar by triggering insulin and blocking other sources of sugar.

Incretin also slows down how quickly food leaves your stomach (gastric emptying). The result of these actions causes you to feel full, thus lowering your appetite and causing you to lose weight. GLP-1 agonists are medications are referred to as incretin mimetics since they “mimic” these effects.

How It’s Administered

Semaglutide is injected just under the skin (subcutaneously) in your abdomen. You’ll give yourself the injections once a week, on the same day each week. It can be given at any time of day, and you can take it with or without food. Avoid injecting the medication into the same spot every time- rotate the sites within the area each time.

Since Semaglutide slows down how quickly food leaves your stomach, you may experience side effects like nausea and vomiting. The goal is to have limited unfavorable side effects, while losing 1-2 lbs/week (while feeling the benefits of the medication: less appetite, cravings, and portion sizes).

We will do this at the least effective dosing. We may need to adjust your dose every 4 weeks in order to achieve that goal.

Missed Doses & Potential Side Effects

If you miss a dose of this medicine, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular dosing schedule. Do not double doses.

Gastrointestinal side effects tend to happen most frequently when using this medication. The most common being nausea, vomiting and constipation. You may experience these effects more strongly each time your dose is increased. Nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, or constipation. Usually can be controlled or avoided, but some patients may not tolerate it at all.

Additional common side effects can include: stomach pain, indigestion, and bloating.
